Renuva is basically a natural injection of fat without the need for Liposuction or General Anesthesia. It is produced from other peoples fat and the cells are removed. It is an allograft. An allograft is transplanted from one person to another. Surgeons use allograft such as bone, ligament, cartilage every day. Fat is now available as an allograft to use as an in-office procedure.

Is Renuva Safe?

Yes. Advanced processing and testing assures that you are receiving healthy and safe tissue. Renuva Allograft tissue comes from donors and is tested and screened in accordance with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s requirements for donor tissue. After harvesting, the tissue is sterilized to ensure a safe transfer to the recipient’s body. Renuva comes from MTF which must pass USP 71 sterility testing before it can be used on humans and in compliance with the FDA regulations. USP 71 guidelines are established by the Unites States Pharmacopeia and represents the same sterility assurance level that covers sterile solutions and injectable medications used in US hospitals and physicians office every day.

How is the procedure performed?

Renuva comes in a pre-filled syringe such as Juvederm or Voluma, so it is quick and easy for us to use in the office. Our providers will inject Renuva in your desired location for a natural look. Revuna is also available at Georgia Plastic.

 

How does it work?

After Renuva injection, Renuva® forms an adipose matrix which acts as a scaffold system to build and regenerate tissue. Your body basically grow into the matrix. It uses this matrix to improve skin tone, texture, volume, and appearance. The results can be seen immediately. Because the fat is injected directly into your body, your skin will look fuller and feel firmer right away. Your skin’s texture and appearance will continue to improve over the next few weeks, but it can take up to three months to see the final results.

 

How Long does it take?

Renuva injection takes about 10 minutes. The paperwork takes longer than the procedure. Most people are able to return to work or activity the same day.
