- Silk
Silk eyelashes are more flexible than most, and extremely soft. They are super light, and more comfortable for daily wear than the synthetic lashes. They can be worn in their natural state, or with mascara for a more dramatic look. They are somewhat less dramatic in appearance when compared to synthetic lashes.
- Synthetic
Synthetic lashes provide give the wearer with a thick lash look that every woman desires, synthetic lashes are dark enough that you don’t have to apply mascara to them. They also cost significantly less than mink eyelashes.
- Mink
Mink lashes are considered the cream of the crop when it comes to eyelash extensions. They are the lightest lash available, & manage to be the most durable. They offer the most natural look than any other lashes. In most cases, you cannot even tell when a woman is wearing mink extensions; they’re that natural.
Mink lashes are made from real hair, of course. Real mink eyelash extensions come from the tail of the Siberian or Chinese mink. Because they are real hairs, they have that natural sheen that synthetics struggle to match. Mink lashes are considerable more expensive, a small price to pay for such an elegant and natural look.
How do I prepare for my eyelash application?
You should thoroughly clean your lashes with a mild cleanser. Do not use oily makeup remover to clean your lashes prior to the application. Lashes should not be curled (unless directed otherwise by your technician) and all mascara should be removed before application.
How long does application take?
A full set of lashes takes about one- two hours depending on the eyelash design you desire, and can be maintained year-round with touch-ups recommended every three to four weeks.
How often do you need to get my lash extensions redone?
Extensive eye lash extensions last through a full growth cycle of natural eyelashes, typically six to eight weeks. Each person’s lash hair growth is at different cycles. Touch-ups are recommended every three to four weeks.
Does it hurt? Is there any downtime?
Extensive eyelashes are completely painless and there is no down time for the client. After the lashes have been applied it is recommended to stay away from water for a few hours to ensure the glue dries properly and adheres to your natural eye lash hair. Clients should be mindful the be more gently when washing your face daily, and the products you use, Oil-based products or makeup removers around the eye area are not recommended.
How do I take care of my lashes?
- Do not get lashes wet for the first 24- 48 hours
- Avoid hot steam or sauna for longer lasting lashes
- Limit the use of running water directly on your lashes
- Avoid rubbing your eyes excessively
- Use water based eye makeup remover
- Do not perm your lashes
- Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler
- Do not pull on your lashes
